NH CHICHESTER — Cemetery Trustees authorize gravestone restoration and plan veterans' flag ceremony. Ruth Hammen, Fred Shaw, and Brenda Boswak approved moving forward with gravestone repairs after receiving Select Board authorization with a June 30 invoice-payment deadline. The board scheduled a May 16 ceremony at Pineground Cemetery to place Betsy Ross design flags on Revolutionary War veterans' gravesites in honor of the nation's 250th birthday, with assistance from a Boy Scout troop.
The Trustees also identified a missing trust account for burial lot purchase by Dede Hammond and directed Fred Shaw to file necessary paperwork with the Trustees of the Trust Fund.
