NH CHICHESTER — Chichester Cemetery Trustees resolved scheduling conflict and finalized cemetery policies. The three trustees met September 7 to address a conflict between tree removal at Fellows-Webster Cemetery (September 15-17) and road paving on Swiggey Brook Road (week of September 8); the Select Board will convene September 8 to coordinate the projects with contractor Accurate Tree via telephone and Road Agent Joe McDaniels. Trustees Ruth Hammen, Fred Shaw, and Brenda Boswak finalized revisions to the Right to Inter contract, Payment Authorization forms, and Rules and Regulations.
The board corrected misspellings in cemetery trusts for the Kilmister and Davison families and linked a Zachary Taylor trust index card to a cemetery deed under Nancy Oakes, identified as mother of deceased infant Zachary Yates, suggesting the trust be renamed 'Nancy Oakes/Zachary Taylor'. The trustees ordered gravestone cleaning for Pineground and True cemeteries and are developing a green burial policy.
