Chichester CIP Committee charts plan to restore capital planning process

NH CHICHESTER — Chichester Capital Improvement Program Committee begins rebuilding framework ahead of budget season. Committee members Jeremy Letendre, Sophia Johnson, and Sean Matousek met to discuss restoring the town's dormant capital planning process, with roughly 12 weeks remaining before budget season begins in September and October. The committee will seek the original CIP request form and bylaws to confirm historical thresholds of $10,000 minimum project cost and a 5-year useful life requirement.
Members plan to contact all town departments requesting a review of their 2013 CIP entries and asking whether work was completed, whether needs have changed, and whether external funding sources are available. 2026 may focus on framework rebuilding, with full implementation expected in 2027.
