NH CHICHESTER — Chichester Select Board overhauled its 2027 budget process after previous-year communication failures. Board members acknowledged the prior cycle suffered from inconsistent expectations that persisted nearly through Town Meeting and voted to restructure the process, allowing Budget Committee meetings independent of Select Board sessions and establishing clearer responsibilities among the boards and committee. In a separate action, the Board unanimously approved $12,937.50 in back overtime compensation for Road Agent Joe McDaniels, correcting an administrative payroll classification oversight for storm-work hours dating from November of the prior year.
