NH CHICHESTER — Chichester selectmen unanimously approved $486,274.21 in accounts payable for September 22, including a $400,000 school payment. The board implemented a Criminal History Disclosure policy developed with the town attorney to ensure compliance with applicable laws and evaluate whether criminal history could affect employee performance. Selectman Carrianne Wood noted the attorney recommended individual mailing of disclosure forms with completed forms returned directly to the board for confidentiality.
The board agreed to participate in Sanborn Mill Farm's wood bank program to provide cordwood to residents needing winter heating assistance. The board declined to update Avitar Tax Maps pending a decision on hiring a new assessor after citizen complaints. IT service provider Block5 returned after an attempted vendor transition failed.
Selectman Matthew Stolnis expressed concerns about Block5's costs and transition handling.
