NH CHICHESTER — Chichester Select Board institutes spending freeze through June 30. The three-member board unanimously approved temporary controls on non-essential and discretionary spending, citing cash-flow timing and upcoming school payments. In a split 2-1 vote, the board removed an existing cease-and-desist order related to a business on Horse Corner Road, with Carrianne Wood and Matt Stolnis voting to remove while Jeremy Letendre opposed; the decision prompted public concerns during the comment period.
The board also unanimously appointed Joann Beaudoin as Emergency Management Director and approved the MS-232 for total 2026 voted appropriations of $4,031,970.
