Select Board votes to pay employee for erroneous retirement system denial

NH CHICHESTER — Chichester Select Board corrects years-long retirement system error. The three-member board unanimously voted to pay town employee Bonnie $19,063 for the employee share of retirement contributions after she was incorrectly informed for approximately five years that she was ineligible for the New Hampshire Retirement System. The town separately acknowledged a legal obligation to pay the employer share of approximately $34,720 to $35,000.
The board also unanimously approved a liquor license for Pecorino's Italian Restaurant on Suncook Valley Road and authorized Highway Department hiring, contingent on background checks.
