Select Board unanimously creates Tri-Custom 300th Anniversary Committee

NH CHICHESTER — Chichester Select Board unanimously creates new 300th anniversary committee with $7,500 seed funding. Voting unanimously, board members Frank Swirko, Richard Bouchard, and Matt advanced formation of the committee to plan 2027 tercentenary events, including community engagement, fundraising, and legacy projects. The committee will comprise five to twelve resident and associate members appointed by the board, with terms through January 1, 2028.

In budget discussions without formal votes, the board discussed Fire Department payroll at $345,000, an increase from prior-year spending of $293,000, to fund overnight staffing Monday through Thursday aiming to guarantee two-responder coverage on initial 911 calls.
